Instead of posting about fears today, I’d like to ask my readers a very important question:
What do you think causes the greatest anxiety/fear in people today?
I look forward to addressing each of the answers you provide. Keep your eyes open every Friday for our war on anxiety!
Loving your Fear series. I will indulge you with my own fear that has really been accentuated since you started this series. That is unanswered prayers. What they mean. The fear that God is not an active God and that we are left here to suffer the consequences of a sinful world. Lately the things I’ve prayed against, the exact opposite have happened and I have found no comfort or relief. I had memorized this verse many years ago before I got married: Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. But often I find this not to be true. And it’s pretty scary to this over-emotional, analytical soul. I often listen to Bebo Normans song “So Afraid”. Because it really spells it out, what I’m feeling. That’s what I fear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2MJph4lV9U
Thank you so much for your transparency, Barb! I am prayerfully and humbly looking into the fear you mentioned and will post about it soon. Let me know if the Holy Spirit broadens your perspective on the subject until then.
You are a blessing friend.
