Week 19: March 2-8
Babies are the size of: Mangos (but we are starting to think they are our little minions)
Exercise: I am struggling in this department. I noticed this week that my flexibility is SEVERELY less than it was 3 months ago. Any tips?
Best moment this week: The gender reveal party!
Miss Anything? Shane and I had a lot of great names picked out: 2 for each gender. Now that it has to be narrowed down to 1 of each, I find the narrowing process a little bitter sweet. I will just have to wait for God’s next blessings in our life to bestow the other names upon! By the way, we are waiting till we meet these little people before we decide on names. For now we call our daughter “Lil’ Lefty” and our son “The Right Ninja.”
Food cravings: Soft serve ice cream.
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope
Gender prediction: We’ve got one of each in there!
Labor Signs/prep: We finished our birthing class on Monday. I am practicing relaxation techniques to prep for a calm labor of meditating in the Lord.
Symptoms: I know I say this every week, but I just feel so big and full… and I’m barely half-way there! Also, congestion is still a problem, but my skin is less itchy!
Mood: So excited!
Lullaby of the week: “Psalm 46” by Jenny and Tyler is a great influence on my relaxation and trust in Jesus. This video by Caleb Chamberlain captures it well.
Truth I’m dwelling on: The words of Psalm 46 (the chapter) speak such truth! I hope to have this chapter memorized by July:
1. God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.7 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.8 Come and see what the Lord has done,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields with fire.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Looking forward to: Starting a prayer and memory journal for each of our kids.
Please keep us in your prayers as we serve Jesus and the inner city Dallas community next week with our brilliant college students!
